How Epidural (Spinal) Anesthesia Negligence Leads to Paralysis
Negligent administration of epidural anesthesia can lead to paralysis in several ways. Sometimes, the patient may be given the wrong kind of medication — often one to which he or she is allergic. In other cases, too much medication is used.
Very large doses of epidural anesthetic can cause respiratory paralysis.
